Onto a new attempt today, backed Stoke to beat WBA - £2 at 2.06.

Attempt 39 - Bet 1 of 19

Quick entry into the In Play market on NUFC v QPR - £2 backing O2.5 at odds of 2.26.  Fingers crossed for more goals!

Result - alas there were no more goals!

Attempt 38 - Bet 1 of 19

Hopefully getting this attempt off to a winning start in Sicily - £2 at 3.55 at Betfair for Palermo to beat Napoli.  Will trade if I can.

Result - arrivederci to that attempt.

Attempt 37 - Bet 4 of 19

Think it could be a tight affair between Everton and Bolton tonight, therefore have backed U2.5 with £16 at 2.08 at Betfair.

Result - when a goalkeeper scores against his opposite number from his own half you can guess things aren't going to quite go your way.  Attempt over, backing to drawing board!

Attempt 37 - Bet 3 of 19

Off out for the afternoon but have laid up an InPlay trade on over 2.5 on the Blackburn v Stoke match.  Think it will be overs (~evens currently good value), but would like to take advantage of a tight start to the match.  If it pans out that way should enter at 2.58 and exit at 1.25 for just over the £8 profit needed.

Result - got matched £8 at 2.58 before Crouch got the opener.  At 0-2 the odds didn't quite get as low as 1.25 so stayed in, luckily the matched finished 1-2 giving £12.02 overal profit.  Nice!

Happy New Year everyone!  Quick IP bet, have laid the draw in WBA v Everton game - £4.82 at 1.83 (liability £4).

Result - that was a great start to the year (sorry West Brom fans!)

A new attempt starts tonight, and I'm backing the hoops in the Old Firm home fixture.  £2 at odds of 2.10 at Bet365.

Result - That was more like it!

Quick bet this evening on Real Madrid to beat Barcelona, £4 at 2.64 at Betfair with a view to trade out.

Result - back to drawing board this evening!

New attempt today, backing the draw with view to trade out in play on Wolves v Sunderland.  £2 placed at 3.40 at Betfair.

Result - it was close, but I managed to trade out for my £2 profit when score was 1-1
